Common questions
How many guests can stay?
Hakuna Matata sleeps up to 6 guests across three bedrooms — one twin room and two double rooms.
Is the pool heated?
The pool is an outdoor plunge pool open all year. Marloth Park has warm summers; the pool may be cooler in winter months (June–August).
Is it safe to walk in Marloth Park?
Yes — Marloth Park is a private nature reserve where wildlife roams freely, but walking is generally safe. The KNP fence line is electrified, so you can walk alongside it. Animals like warthog, impala, and nyala are present daily. Follow local guidance and never approach wildlife.
Do I need a car?
Yes — a car is essential. Marloth Park is rural and there is no public transport. You will also need a car to drive into Kruger National Park. A standard sedan is fine for Marloth Park roads.
Are there restaurants nearby?
Yes — several restaurants are within a short drive: The Tin Shack (2.3 miles) and Watergat Restaurant (2.7 miles) are popular choices in and around Marloth Park.
Is there a washing machine?
There is no washing machine on site. A laundry service is available in Marloth Park village for longer stays.
